Harem pants worn as playsuit, AA; belt, vintage; platforms, topshop;
Lately I've been finding myself ditching my usual tendency to shop for cheap trendy items that I wont wear next summer or even next month. I recently threw out like 50% of the stuff that was in my closet taking up space, mostly things I bought at forever21. This is good in that I'm getting cleaned up and defining my style a little better for myself, but bad for my wallet in that my weekly shopping pit stops have been including confederacy and opening ceremony. yikes!
I cannot believe I've had these shoes for almost 2 months and never once posted about them! Very cleopatra and over the top (literally). Yay for shoes that make me almost 6 feet tall!

I definitely tried those shoes on while in NYC and definitely thought they were intimadating- they made me think of Beyoncé. I knew there was someone who could really pull them off, and perhaps i could have, but you definitely can!! you look amazing!
and YAY! for ridding your closet of wasted money on trendy items and investing in more long term pieces that have a nod to your style- so worth it!

i agree about the clearing out - i'm literally doing the same thing now (obv i stopped for a blog break hahaa) and am deciding to buy more vintage (for uniqueness and classic shapes), more natural fabrics and less primark and H & M (equivalent to Target - budget clothes). You look lovely too, I also saw those shoes in topshop and was like :s but you actually make them look great!

I personally am a HUGE believer in cleaning out my closet periodically. Whether I'm buying more expensive staple pieces or cheap throwaways that I'll never wear again, like you mentioned, I still feel like I have to get rid of it if I'm not wearing it anymore. Plus, I dont have much closet space!!!
