It's a new year, and a new post finally. Hope 2012 has been treating everyone nicely! As for me, I've been extremely busy, working and shooting a lot. In my spare time between sleeping and shopping online, I got engaged! I've been trying (although not successfully my lack of organizational skills is killing me here) to plan some sort of engagement party.

For some reason, I'm really obsessed with the color green right now, it's all I want to wear. I also recently had dinner with some of my friends at Coach, where they gave me this pretty amazing bag. It's the classic Willis that we all know and love, but updated a little. Although I'm always a little skeptical when companies try to reinvent something that has been such an icon for so many years, why mess with it if its working, I'm actually pretty impressed with this re-do. I absolutely love the buttery soft leather and the pale pink shade, which I'm always attracted to since it's easy to pair with almost any outfit.

The Trapeze Dress

I would like to introduce to you guys this Trapeze Dress that American Apparel is developing. Basically it started out as a sample that we were unsure about, but everyone in our office including myself is dying over it. What are your guys' thoughts?

Regardless of whether we end up making the dress or not, we have 5 beautiful samples that we will be giving away to people that participated in the process. On the morning of December 28, will select 5 people at random via the comments on our Coming Soon page. The dresses will be rush shipped to the winners to arrive in time for New Years Eve!

newton and my stripes

Two of my favorite things: Sir Isaac Newton, and one of three striped fisherman sweaters I designed at American Apparel. I can't believe how lucky I am sometimes, I am thankful everyday I am surrounded by the best people and I get to do what I love. People often think success is measured by dollar amounts. Especially within the art/fashion/blog realm I've come across countless people, all the same with interchangeable faces who consider themselves successful because they've been able to fool others into thinking they're 'cool', 'famous', and 'rich'. It's really more about being able to wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and see a person who you truly like and to be honestly excited to be who you are.
