tshirt, fafi; trousers, vintage; wedges, ashish for topshop;

Although I always say that I will never wear all black everyday... I've been wearing all blacks everyday for quite a while. what's that about, brain? I guess all black is easy for work, especially on days when i dont really feel like wearing/doing too much of anything other than comfy men's briefs and a xxl tshirt & laying around the house watching episodes of strangers with candy. An easy solution for the all black attire is a pop of color in the form of tights. Btw, my new favorite color tights are this barbie-pepto-pink i have to show you guys soon!
For those of you who e-mailed me asking about my camera, I use this camera with this lens
lace shirt, vintage; cord shorts & DIY hair bow, American Apparel; booties, deena & ozzy; pins, chanel; Apologies for the lack of posting, life happens! I've been working, getting over a cold, hanging with the besties.
I've also been searching for the perfect sequin pair of pants / skirt for my halloween costume. Haven't found the right one just yet...but I'm sure it will land in my lap just in time for halloween. Super excited, I love halloween! What are you going to be?!
I'm attracted to shiny objects. I am very much attracted to these shorts. Wore these shorts out last night, and they are definitely the perfect pair of shorts to dance the night away in!
silk shirt, vintage christian dior; skirt, marc jacobs; heel, santee alley; belt, erin fetherston for target;
95% of clothes are too big for me, including this marc jacobs skirt I ran across at a goodwill in hollywood. The buttery soft peach leather I couldn't resist and I was determined to make it work somehow. I considered getting it altered, but knowing me I'd drop it off at the place and forget to pick it up for about 2 months just like i do with any drycleaning or movie rentals. So i figured the sandwich bag method is a fast and easy way to do it. I think I want to sell it though, so if there's a size 4 out there who's interested in buying this skirt, email me!
jumsuit, Celia Birtwell for Topshop; booties, deena & ozzy;
This was a floor length pantsuit that was way too long for my short legs, so i altered it into shorts. It's floral, backless, and has a cape. Definitely one of my favorite pieces in my closet.
dress, american apparel; sequin blazer, vintage; platforms, topshop;
Something about nudes & khakis has been intriguing me lately. I'm as pale as it can get, so the nudes don't really look too nude on me. It's a love hate relationship, right now i love. Also this peach blinger is probably the best $3 I ever spent. Yep $3!
I feel like pancakes. Gonna go figure out a way to trick my mom into making me some. Shouldn't be too hard, i am her favorite afterall. lol
dress, american apparel; tank, topshop; flats, yesstyle.com; bag, coach;
patiently waiting for the time when i can wear more then one piece of clothing at a time and stop drowning in sweat all day long at work. this video gives me the chills every time i watch it.
Brigid Catiis SS2010 collection available February. Raissa's design & style aesthetic is so similar to mine which is why she's one of my favorite designers!
I have the shortest attention span when it comes to applying make-up & I usually do it as I am driving. I love that I can use this Julie Hewett Cheekie Balm on my lips and cheeks without using any brushes. Quick, easy, and the color is neutral so I can wear it with almost anything. My friends at Urban Decay sent me a lovely little package of make-up, and the Ink for Eyes is definitely the one thing I was most excited to recieve. The Midnight blue is more exciting to wear than plain old black, but isn't too noticably obvious that it is blue. I love that the brush allows me to control the thickness of the line, which I try to make as thin as possible.
Also, I am super flattered to be featured in this month's issue of CosmoGirl Indonesia. Thanks Judithya! Here's a translation of the interview:
How long have you been a fashion blogger, and what makes you start your own blog? I've been blogging for just over a year now. I started because it was a fun way to express my facsination with clothing and fashion. I followed many other blogs and at one point I decided to start my own. Can you explain briefly about what's going on your blog? My blog is mostly outfits I put together, things I am thinking about purchasing, and whatever other cool thing I feel like talking about that day! Do you have any interesting experience while being a fashion blogger? While blogging I have been able to meet many intresting people, designers, and photographers. It's been so much fun! What is the inspirations for your blog? Inspiration for me comes from everything around me. People, art, music, and everyday life all inspire me. Everything I wear depends on my surroundings. Who is your ultimate fashion icon? Jane Birkin is my ultimate in my mind when it comes to beauty, elegance, and fashion. Her daughters are pretty amazing too! How do you explain your signature style? I don't like to think about signature styles, I think it's a little wierd to say that. Some of my favorite things to wear though are flared skirts and girly dresses. I also love color, and don't like only wearing neutral gloomy shades. What is your key fashion item? A black body-con dress is the perfect layering piece, I wear the few that I have under almost everything. Do you have any favorite brands and/or designer? Who is it? I've been buying a lot of Repetto shoes and American Apparel clothing, they are definitely two of my favorite brands! Chloe, Sonia Rykiel, Chanel, Miu Miu, Erin Featherston, and Marc Jacobs are my favorite designers. What is your best fashion finds so far? All my vintage leather skirts, and this navy blue backless cocktail dress are so dear to me! What will you never wear?All black and only black. How do you put yourself together every morning, considering you always dressed up with various fashionable pieces? It takes forever, I always end up being late everywhere, and I make a huge mess in my room. I basically put on everything I own, then dismiss it! Lately there are so many designers launching their collections filled with monochrome colored pieces. How do you adapt with that style? I like to add a bright colored belt, or shoe to the mix just ot keep it alive. I hate dressing all dark and grey! What do you recommend everyone have at least one of? Everyone should own a pair of American Apparel Disco Pants in navy, they are magical! Do you have any tips for the reader who wants to start their own fashion blog? Update often!

I forgot to bring my camera out with me a few times while I was in NY, thankfully streetstyle bloggers saved the day! What's with the awkward/i'm so sleepy faces I kept making?
Never in my life have I been so relieved that I packed a velvet onsie as I was yesterday. My stay in NY has consisted of a series of california girl clothes that are not suitable for the gross wet weather of NY that left me cold and wet, or in some sort of itchy pain. This was the perfect piece to wear for a day of fashion shows and shopping! I have to admit though, the glittery stripper shoes are the definition of pain! I think I made it about 2 blocks before resorting to the sweet comfort of flats.
Here's a quick summary of what I've been doing in NY the past few days: visited Coach headquarters & got to meet some of the hottest ladies on the interweb while at dinner at Hotel Griffou, accidentally walked into Agent Provocateur's presentation and died of amazement, seen 4 shows at the tents (will post photos later), worked till 2 am on FNO, attended the Metal Magazine party, middle of the night trip to brooklyn for guaco tacos, had an amazing selection of foods at various places in soho, learned how to use the subway on my own, vintage shopping in the lower east side, and and found my dream newsstand that carries any and every magazine I've ever wanted. As much as I've had fun here, I miss everyone in LA and my car!
dress, california select vintage; wedges, topshop;
It's been a super long but exciting day spent traveling out to NYC. After getting settled in our hotel, i got dressed and headed out to dinner.
If you're in new york tomorrow night, stop by the American Apparel Broadway & Howard store where i'll be working and shooting cute people dressed in AA! See more details here.
crop top; american apparel; skirt (thanks Mae!), vintage; wedges, Ashish for Topshop;
The heatwave+constant california fires make for a super untolerable environment. Now is the time of year where I long for the sweet cold air of autumn. I haven't been this excited about an arrival of a shoe in a while. They are just as perfect as I imagined: substantial, comfortable, and ridiculous all at once. I've already planned a bunch of outfits around them in my brain. so good.
Next order of business, purchase luggage. Why do they only make ugly rolling carryons?
I finally cleaned out my closet, and what a good feeling it is to actually know what you have. I own an abnormal amount of vintage silky oversized shirts, 20 to be exact.
Super excited for ny fashion week next month, I'm making a list of all the good resturants & vintage stores to hit up. got a suggestion?
